Packed with interesting memorabilia gathered over the years, the large L-shaped bar is an ideal meeting place for young and old.
Friendly bar staff serve fine ales, spirits and wines and the extensive bar food menu caters for all tastes.
Whether you fancy a quick drink or a hearty meal we have something for everyone.
With a roaring fire during winter or the sunlight pouring in during the summer the bar provides a warm and convivial atmosphere accompanied by the sounds of peacocks in the garden.
The Food...
We offer a large bar food menu with the usual pub food always available. This is supplemented by the changing “daily specials” selection with exciting choices such as; peppered swordfish steak with cream and brandy sauce, salmon fillet with lemon and tarragon sauce, wild mushroom lasagne, pork steak with apple, orange and ginger sauce, marinated lamb steak with garlic and herbs, fresh fish and vegetarian dishes.

To match the excellence of the food, we offer a selection of wines to satisfy all tastes - and to complete the wine list we have a range of very palatable house wines at reasonable prices.
The Ale...
We serve the locally brewed Greene King Ales and have achieved 100% quality ratings for all our cask ales from Cask Marque, the independent national accreditors who recognise excellence in the service of cask ale.
